Excited for the first wedding of the season tomorrow. Can’t wait to document Elizabeth and Brian on their big day!

(This is Sahar and Sam at Keswick from July 2009)
I kid you not, the dinner we made last night was amazing. A perfect way to celebrate Cramer Photo’s 5th birthday. Happy birthday Cramer Photo!

Pork tenderloin, asparagus and manchego risotto. Delish!
I am thrilled to be helping with the Charlottesville Free Wedding Project. My good friend Jack Looney came up with this idea and I think it’s fantastic. Cramer Photo will be participating and taking engagement photos for the lucky couple. So fun!

The goal is to provide a 5 star all-inclusive wedding to a couple with a great love story, but not able to make the wedding happen financially for whatever reason. I’m game!
Many of my potential clients ask me what it’s like to have me photograph their wedding. Emily and Andrew (12.19.09) were kind enough to write a few words about their experience with Cramer Photo. I love these guys!
“Sarah Cramer is the ultimate photographer. We received her name from a mutual friend and haven’t looked back since. Sarah is friendly, professional, and most of all, you can see how much she loves her job. We had quite a few unexpected things come up over the course of wedding planning- the biggest thing being two feet of snow on our wedding day. However, Sarah never blinked an eye. She was incredibly easy to work with and through the process, Andrew and I not only feel that we have incredible pictures that document our special day- we feel that we have made a good friend.
On our wedding day after our ceremony, we realized that in the craziness of rescheduling due to the weather, we never found a way to get to our reception. Sarah offered to take us and off we went. She was wonderful with our families and friends and made everyone feel comfortable. We have gotten countless compliments along the way that our pictures are beautiful- had it not been for Sarah’s artistic eye and her enthusiasm, they wouldn’t have been the same. Sarah brings such a unique viewpoint to her pictures. As an anthropology and art major, she understands people and has an incredible instinct for capturing the moments that you would want to remember forever.
Our engagement and wedding photos with Sarah are only the first few of many times that we hope to work with her in the future. She is so wonderful and we can’t say enough about how happy we are that she helped us to document our special day.”

This couple celebrated 60 years of marriage at Palladio (a fantastic restaurant at Barboursville Vineyards) yesterday. I wonder why more families don’t get together and do stuff like this. What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday. Get everyone together to celebrate, taste vino, eat a lovely meal and take some photos. Sounds perfect to me. Congratulations you two!

A preview from my shoot on Sunday.

These are headshots I took this week for some of the people that work for the New City Arts Initiative. Stop by next week to see the rest.

Enjoyed lots of quality time this afternoon with my sister Meredith and nephew Carter. He’s getting so big! Check out the cuteness.

I love this little man. Nice shot, Mer!
